Weighing a newly purchased Urban Caravan in Tallebudgera Valley was a helpful experience to the customers who had just picked up this caravan, brand-new from the dealership. The customers live in Burleigh Waters, and the location in Tallebudgera was a close and handy location for them.
The caravan and tow vehicle weighing session involved numerous configurations, including, with and without a weight distribution hitch. Various settings of the weight distribution hitch (WDH), were measured. Vehicle and caravan levelling were recorded along with weights at each axle. Each wheel is placed on the scales to calculate the front and rear axle weights of both the SUV and the caravan.
The result was a well-tuned and balanced towing rig. The owner reported reduced sway at certain speeds, and a level attitude for the Ford Everest.

I have visited the Tallebudgera Valley several times for caravan weighing. Another customer, from Currumbin Waters, was towing a small teardrop camper / caravan. The towing vehicle was a Subaru which was limited to a tow ball load (TBM) of only 140kgs. The owner wanted to add a bicycle rack to the camper’s drawbars and many caravan suppliers and caravan repair workshops advised against this because it would be overweight.
Gold Coast Mobile Weigh accurately calculated it would be possible to add the bicycle rack and two bicycles without exceeding the weight.

In my capacity as a certified RV technician, I was able to install this new bike rack and relocate the spare wheel to another location along with various other maintenance items including window leaks, brakes and suspension maintenance.
How can Gold Coast Mobile Weigh help you with your caravan?
