Caravan Weighing Service

I

Have you searched for a caravan weigh service near me on the Gold Coast?

Gold Coast Mobile Weigh is your local caravan weigh service from Beenleigh and Beaudesert, to Tweed Heads and beyond.

I weigh caravans all over the Gold Coast. In just a short time in business, I have weighed caravans, camper trailers, boat trailers, and even tractors and trucks in Beenleigh, Yatala, Mudgeeraba, Nerang, Coomera, Pimpama, Tallebudgera, Hope Island, and many other locations on the Gold Coast.

Caravan and trailer weighing is a straightforward process that utilises sophisticated equipment. When you set an appointment for a caravan weighing session, I will bring portable scales that measure the weight of each wheel of the towing vehicle.

I take the weight of the tow vehicle when hitched to the caravan and then remove the caravan from the tow bar and weigh the vehicle again. Then the caravan is weighed when hitched to the towing vehicle. After this, the caravan is again disconnected from the towbar, and the tow ball receiver is weighed using a special tow ball mass scale. This measures the actual weight on the tow ball of the towing vehicle.

When complete, your caravan weigh service will report the weight on each wheel of the entire car and caravan together. Then you will know if your combination of both vehicles is balanced.

Axle weights are also recorded so you can check that you are within your maximum allowed axle capacities for both caravan and tow car. The recorded axle weights are compared to the GVM for the car and the GTM for the caravan.

The tow ball measured weight is compared to the TBM limit, and the total weight of the caravan is compared to the ATM to make sure the caravan is within the maximum limits.

How do you know if you are overweight, close to overweight, or just perfect? Weighbridge scales are not as accurate.

The only way to find out is to book a weigh today!
