Usually I service caravans on Queensland’s Gold Coast. I can also visit northern New South Wales and Brisbane’s southside suburbs and towns.
Why is caravan servicing so important?
Sometimes insects can clog tiny ports in refrigerators and gas appliances. This can stop caravan appliances from working altoghether. Corrosion can be a risk to the integrity of caravan hitches and suspension, while rust can diminish the finish and quality of your caravan’s appearance. Regular washing and waxing will keep your caravan like new. Servicing ensures the general safety and enjoyment of your caravan.
How often should a caravan be serviced and maintained?
It is recommended to service your caravan immediately before any road trip. Every caravan should have be inspected at least each year. An inspection might include, tyre condition, check suspension, jack wheels and check for bearing play, check brake adjustment, and check towing hitch. Lighting, battery and other electrical can also be inspected as well as checking operation of the refrigerator, air conditioning, and water heater. The freshwater pump and other plumbing should be checked for leaks. Water leaks from rainy weather will leave stains on ceilings and walls. This sould also be included in a regular caravan service and maintenance schedule. Check the roof for any cracks where water could leak through the roof.
