PR Power supplies large scale generators and commercial light towers for building, construction, and the event industries. The company contacted me recently to ask if we can measure the tare weight of a light tower which was recently sold to a new customer in New South Wales.
I visited the warehouse in Arundel and with a forklift, lowered the light tower’s wheels onto my scales. The tow ball downforce scale was also placed under the hitch to measure the tow ball weight.
As this was a tare measurement, the necessary fluids like coolant and oil were in the light tower’s generator, but fuel was at the empty mark. Tare was recorded and reported in a written form for the new customer.
